6.023 Smoking/Tobacco Use Policy

Cooperative Educational Services (C.E.S.) prohibits smoking or any other use of tobacco or electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products by students in any of its school buildings, school vehicles, or properties at any time. There shall also be no smoking or use of electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products by students at any school-sponsored activity during or after program hours on or off school grounds. Consistent with its discipline policy and procedures, any smoking or use of electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor and tobacco products in any of its school buildings, school vehicles, school properties, or at any school-sponsored activity during or after program hours may result in disciplinary action. As part of the student’s health curriculum, all students are provided with instruction regarding the ill effects of smoking/use of tobacco and electronic nicotine delivery systems and vapor products.
